True Love 4 Ever

I'm in love.
I'm in love with frozen yogurt and I don't care who knows it.

Charlotte has recently (finally) gotten in on the frozen yogurt craze. My favorites? Yoforia and Pinkberry. I waited patiently and they finally came.

I just went to Yoforia about 2 hours ago (plain with strawberries and mochi). And I went on Saturday (plain, peanut butter, and graham cracker). Then last Friday we had Pinkberry at our office (plain with strawberries and mango).

Delightful.

Don't ask me to pick a favorite between the two. I can't. They both have their pros. No cons. Not a single con.

Yoforia: SERVE YOURSELF (huge plus!). Here's a warning, the first time you go, you'll get that giant cup and feel the strong urge to fill that bad boy up. Don't. It will cost you about $8 and 500 calories. But once you get your serving size down, the self-serve twist is certainly appealing. Feeling like more toppings than yogurt today?  GREAT, do it. You're paying by the ounce. If you are craving a some serious sweetness but don't want the full calories of a rich ice cream, I recommend the Ferrero Rocher flavor.

My BFF, Reese Witherspoon, enjoys Pb w/ the family. (via Google Images)
Pinkberry: The Hollywood gold standard of frozen yogurt. Read US Weekly? Watch Gossip Girl? Yep, you know Pinkberry. I feel a little bit like a rockstar when I go to Pinkberry. I imagine that, at that same moment, someone uber cool like Gwen Stefani and I could be doing the same thing...ordering plain with kiwi. Or maybe Reese Witherspoon and I are both enjoying a green tea with strawberries. Who knows? Pinkberry yogurt is creamy and oh-so-delicious. Ok, so maybe we're about 3 years behind the trend. But, it's not our fault. We've been fro-yo deprived!  Until now.

As my sister put it, they always give you just enough (especially with the samples) to make you addicted.

Yep, sounds about right.

  1. Mark got a serve-yourself froyo at our new local place and it cost him ten dollars! I don't know how he did it! When I've filled up the big cup my max has been $6.50.
